October 13th, Risley Moss

More images from Michael Pettipher. A good day for the Fungi. (Roger)

Identification by Michael.

A few comments on the photos, with some identification guesses, in order of appearance:

Fairy Inkcap, Coprinellus disseminatus Tricholoma saponaceum? orTrooping Funnel, Clitocybe or Infundibulicybe geotropa? The lecture Sulphur Tuft Honey Fungus? Mazegill - either Birch Mazegill or Oak Mazegill. The underside seems slightly more like Oak than Birch, and the log seemed far more likely to be Oak than Birch, so I go for Oak Mazegill. Common Funnel, Clitocybe nebularis Ergot on Purple Moor Grass Ann's pet slug Fresh Sphagnum Scleroderma areolatum (Leopard earthball) Pale Persicaria Amanita rubescens
